How long is each workshop?
The running time of each workshop is listed. Generally, LEGO WeDo workshops, where children use a tablet to code their build, run for 90 mins. We can complete 3 of these workshops within a school day.
How many children can we accomodate
All workshops are suitable for around 30 children. We bring 15 full kits to each session and children work in pairs. A few groups of 3 is fine and, where needed, children who work best on their own can be accomodated.
Does the school need to supply anything?
Just a classroom and pupils. All equipment will be provided by StemDays.com including LEGO® kits, tablets or laptops and additonal pupil / teacher resources.
Are pupils just building stuff out of LEGO?
As wonderful as that is, our activities are much more than that. They have been created to challenge the children with plenty of discussion and room for individual problem solving.
Who will deliver the workshop?
All our workshop leaders are experienced teachers who now specialise in S.T.E.M. and Computing.
Do you have safety procedures?
Everyone in StemDays has an Enhanced DBS check and we have Public Liability insurance, Risk Assesments etc. which will be shared with you before we come to your school.
How much does a workshop cost?
We charge a daily rate of £380 + VAT.
Are there any travel surcharges or other costs?
There are no travel surcharges if your school is within 40 miles of Birmingham city centre.
For schools 40 – 60 miles from B1, a travel surcharge of £60 may apply.
If your school is further than 60 miles from B1, please get in touch as we may still be able to help.
Distances are measured using main roads only, via Google Maps
